Hi Everyone,

My dear friend, and mega-talented artist and writer, Jeremy Baum :iconmadbaumer37: recently released his new graphic novel, "Dörfler", through Fantagraphics Books, which I've gotten to read today, and it's a beautiful book which I'd like to recommend. An 8-page excerpt can be read at Fantagraphics' website and for those not yet familiar with Jeremy's drawings, many samples of the mind-blowing artwork from the book can be seen at his dA gallery

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all doing well. A quick journal entry to spotlight some comics projects that might interest you:

Virgil

Look Straight Ahead
By Elaine M. Will :icondlmx-13: Simply put, one of the best books I've ever read:

Jeremy Knowles is a 17-year-old outcast who dreams of being a great artist. But when he suffers a severe mental breakdown brought on by bullying and other pressures at school, his future is called into question, as is his very existence. Can he survive the experience through the healing power of art? And just what does it mean to be "crazy," anyway?

You can read it here at dA, or at Elaine's website: blog.e2w-illustration.com/ And you can now pre-order the print copy from any comic book shop. To buy a copy online: lookstraightahead.bigcartel.co… and plan B: www.amazon.com/Look-Straight-A…

I've been tagged by my friend Zoe :iconcluedog:

Questions:
1.  What's the strangest dream you've ever had that you are comfortable telling?
I usually don't remember what I dream, but as far as I can tell, they tend to be quite mundane.

2.  Who's the most beautiful person you've ever seen?
I don't know.

3.  What's the first movie you've ever seen in a theater?
The earliest memory I have of seeing a movie in a theater was the "Masters of the Universe" movie, with Dolph Lundgren. This must have been in the late 80s. And I remember walking away from the theater with my family, during the end credits, and turning my head back to see the screen, because one of the characters (Skeletor) appeared again on screen for a brief moment. I thought it was so cool that they would do that.

4.  If you could live in any time, what would it be?
Now.

5.  Who do you think the most overrated musician alive today is?
No idea.

6.  What's your favorite drink?
Coffee. The drink of champions! :iconcoffeeplz:

7.  What's your favorite kind of weather?
I like all seasons, though I do have a bit of an almost Aztec-like devotion for the sun.

8.  If you could put one kind of curse or hex on any person, what would it be?
I would not.

9.   Is Pluto a planet or a moon?
I've heard that it is a planet, but now that you are asking, I don't know.

10.  If you could be in any movie, what would it be?
None, I would prefer to be behind the cameras in my own movie projects. ;)

Rules:
1. You must post these rules.
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you, and create new questions for the people you tag to answer.
3. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal
4. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
5. No tag backs.
6. No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this."

I tag no one, but if you want to do it, go ahead! As for the questions, same as above:

Questions:
1.  What's the strangest dream you've ever had that you are comfortable telling?
2.  Who's the most beautiful person you've ever seen?
3.  What's the first movie you've ever seen in a theater?
4.  If you could live in any time, what would it be?

6.  What's your favorite drink?
7.  What's your favorite kind of weather?
8.  If you could put one kind of curse or hex on any person, what would it be?

10.  If you could be in any movie, what would it be?

Happy birthday, Zoe! :iconcakeplz:
