This is everything I like. The visual storytelling is flawless, it beautifully combines with the words to create something distinctive. And as a bonus, the pages in themselves are beautiful to look at, not only because they're well drawn (which they are) but also because the panels are carefully arranged, almost like a stained-glass window.
